Humane Society Pick Of The Week 12/19

Look into the eyes of royalty! Our charming pick of the week is Princess, a five year old St. Bernard.
Princess is a girl with a big heart looking for a family to give her the best Christmas present, her forever home. As a large breed St. Bernard's can develop joint and hip problems. The Humane Society has begun it's annual fundraising event! Funds raised by this even in the past have been able to create a condo-like lifestyle for cats. This new, "Kitty City" is spacious and allows potential families interact with animals in a homey atmosphere. Humane Society Pick Of The Week 12/12/12!

Fish is our lucky pick of the week for this special 12/12/12 edition! She is a spayed blue/cream domestic shorthair around 3 years old. This Friday December 14 the Humane Society will be hosting Pooch on the Pond. An adoption event at an exciting hockey game. The Utah Grizzlies will be taking on the Alaska Aces at 7:00 pm. During the intermission the Humane Society will be putting on an ice pageant to show off their furry friends. Come support your team and see some great pets! There is a $20 admission fee for you and your dog.

This energetic guy is named Buster. He is an estimated 1 year old, neutered yellow lab. This playful guy would love to play fetch, go for a long walk, or just melt your heart! To get you in the spirit of giving, Petco is doing a fun promotion on pinterest. Follow them on www.pinterest.com/petco and repin their, "12 days of pinterest" picture of the day. A random winner will be selected daily to win a 500 dollar gift card for themselves and a shelter of their choice. This 500 dollar donation goes a long way to help our shelter friends get the care they need.

In other exciting news, today is the first annual wildlife conservation day, (December 4th). To celebrate the 1st annual Wildlife Conservation Day, the U.S. State Department is hosting two web chats with Animal Planet star Jeff Corwin on how to respect and protect wildlife.
